AUSTRALIA DAY WEB EVENT

Our Australia Day 2022 Web Event celebrated the resilience of parents and officially launched a new service to support social and community participation for neurodiverse young people. Hosted by journalist Jo Casamento and featuring neurodiversity pioneer Judy Singer as well as AS Purposeful founder David Harper, this event focused on the Australia Day theme of "Reflect, Respect, Celebrate - We're All Part of the Story".

Jo is an experienced journalist with over two decades of experience spanning television, radio, print, and digital mediums. She is also the ambassador for Autism Mates, a charity which focuses on empowering people with autism.

Judy is an academic and activist who is best known for coining the concept of neurodiversity. She is a sought after international speaker, and was also the co-founder of a social club for young people with autism.

David is a not-for-profit executive with a background in mental health, autism, and community organising. David founded AS Purposeful to develop better mainstream supports for neurodiverse Australians, as well as the people who help them.
